AirCast Mobile's Mobile Applications
Smartphones, specifically the iPhone 4 and Android version 2.3, were never really designed to sharing mobile videos. If they were, gadget users wouldn't have to put so much effort in distributing video from their preinstalled smartphone mobile applications. Looking at the iPhone 4, to upload a video to YouTube the user has to go through a 10 step process after recording a video (find it in their video library, click the video in their library, click on the features button, select YouTube from the available options, type in their YouTube password, add a title a description and some post tags, add a category and choose public or private and then finally hit submit). The real time consuming factor in this process is it would have to be repeated every single time you recorded a video and wanted to upload it to YouTube.
Introducing, AirCast Mobile's mobile phone applications: AirCastLive (for iPhone 3gs, 4, 4s and Android OS version 2.3) & Jamcast (for iPhone 3gs, 4 & 4s). AirCast Moble has simplifies the whole process and makes it extremely convenient to distribute mobile videos. Once the smartphone apps have been set up, all the user has to do is record a video, select a private or public setting, enter a title and a description and hit send. The apps stores up to 5 personal email addresses so the user doe sn't have to repeatedly enter them. The apps default to AirCast Mobile's YouTube channel so there is no need to log into YouTube. The apps also, retain the videos title & description so in the event a user wants to make a private (previously emailed) video public (YouTube), all that is required is a single click.
The apps work with both the standard backward facing and the front facing camera (when available) so users can record videos of themselves or of other people all within the same application. AirCast Mobile's video sharing apps also allow users to switch from the front facing camera to the standard camera and then back again enabling instant single click toggling functionality between the two cameras.
The AirCast Mobile's smartphone apps were designed with the user in mind. Both apps are easy to use and quickly draw the attention of the user. AirCast Mobile's apps are now available in the App Store and function with a variety of Apple devices including the iPad2, the iPod touch 4G and the iPhone, 3G, 3GS, 4 & 4s and requires the iOS 3.0 operating system or later, to function appropriately. The Android app, version 2.3, will be available in late 2011.
