JamCast is a mobile iPhone video sharing application created to discover new bands, let musicians communicate with their fans, and for fans to share the favorite performances with their friends and/or with the world!
The first time you use the iPhone App, we recommend that you set up the private settings in the “settings” page first. This is where you will enter the emails of those people you would like to share videos. After adding the emails, be sure to hit the “save” button on the bottom of the page. These emails will remain saved until you change or delete them. Then hit Cancel to go back to the main screen.
To begin recording simply press the “Start” button on the main screen of the iPhone App. After this step, simply press Start and begin recording. Once the recording is completed, you’ll be prompted to give your video a title and a description. You’ll then decide if your video is Public or Private.
Private videos are those videos that you want to share only with your friends. Use this setting can also allow you to share videos directly with your Facebook fans or personal YouTube channel.
Public videos are automatically uploaded to YouTube for the whole world to see!
We recognize that sometimes you don’t know what type of videos you have until after you’ve recorded it. Therefore, we give you the choice after the recording is completed.

Within the iPhone App, go to the videos page and press the video screen cap to play the video.
All public videos get shared automatically on AirCastLive’s YouTube Channel. You can view your shared videos online by going to http://www.youtube.com/user/aircastlive or by pressing the link on the “public” section of the “settings” page within the iPhone application.
You bet! When you create a page/channel on YouTube, they provide you with an email address (@m.youtube.com) to share your videos from your mobile phone or computer via email. In the iPhone App, simply add this email to your private email list and send your video to YouTube like it’s a private video.
Absolutely! Just like YouTube (see above) Facebook provides each member a specific mobile email address in order to share videos with their Facebook fans. In the iPhone App, simple add this email address to your private distribution list and then email the video to Facebook like it’s a private video. For instruction on how to find your specific mobile upload email address, please log-in to Facebook, and then go to: http://www.facebook.com/mobile/
When sending private videos the videos are sent using the email provider you set up on your phone. Each email provider has their own limits on the size of the attachments that you can send via their service. For example, Yahoo’s free email service limits attachments to 10MB. (20MB for Yahoo Plus) So, it might be that your video is too long and therefore too large to send via your emails limits. This is a limitation of your email provider and not the iPhone or Android application. We recommend that you keep your videos to less than 5 mins. to ensure that the email will go through.
